The hotel is situated in an elevated area overlooking nature's beauty, stocked with everything we needed and good for the hikes we wanted to take. However, it's not convenient to take advantage of all Sedona has to offer. The rooms had extra blankets and pool towels, but there were cleanliness issues like dirty carpet and a dated shower. The service seemed unaware of our existence, and some furniture was in bad shape. The dining didn't offer much aside from smoked salmon bagels, but the facilities were decent.

The ground floor room wasn't as fresh as I expected, but it was a nice size and the bathroom was great. However, dealing with bugs was a downside. The service wasn't the typical hotel experience, with some trying too hard, but Dany was exceptional. The location was good, close to popular attractions but had some minor issues.

The hotel doesn't offer views of the beautiful red rocks, lacks daily cleaning and WiFi, but the hot tub and pools are great size and comfortable. I'm planning to return next year.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms are comfortable and spacious despite not having views of the red rocks. Daily cleaning and WiFi are missing, but the hot tub and pools make up for it.
Service
5.0
The service was disappointing as the staff talked loudly about their personal issues and were unhelpful with requests. They only offered assistance if I listened to a sales presentation about their time shares.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is ideal for exploring surrounding parks, hikes, and landmarks. It feels like a home away from home, even though finding the patio light switch was a bit challenging.
Dining

The hotel lacked complimentary breakfast, which would have been a nice addition before heading out to explore. The dining options during our stay were limited.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms near the main pool and recreation room were very spacious and clean, but unfortunately, my room was small, dark, on a low level facing the parking lot, which was disappointing for a long-time guest accustomed to better views. The service was friendly and helpful overall, but it was a letdown that they insisted on a sales presentation for certain advice. The location was ideal for hiking excursions to Soldiers Pass, Faye Canyon, and Devils Bridge, but attention to room details like the toilet, shower, and sink arrangement was lacking. The lack of dining options and the absence of breakfast were definite drawbacks. However, the facilities were satisfactory.

Rooms
5.0
My room, unfortunately, was inferior compared to what I expected after 15 years of staying here. The space was cramped and faced the parking lot, quite a letdown. However, the rooms near the main pool and recreation room were described as very nice and clean.
Service
6.0
The staff, on their programs, were generally friendly and eager to assist, although the requirement to sit through a sales presentation for advice was off-putting.
Location
8.0
The hotel's proximity to hiking trails like Soldiers Pass, Faye Canyon, and Devils Bridge was fantastic. However, some aspects like room arrangement and reception's attention need improvement.
Dining
5.0
Unfortunately, dining options were limited, and breakfast was not available during my stay, which was quite disappointing.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel's facilities were satisfactory overall, but there is room for improvement in some areas.
